This presentation is for anyone. Therefore, it should seem very basic to Adventists and you might even wonder why it is made or why you should watch it. The reason is simple, before you bake bread you need learn about flour. Too often in Adventist schools and churches, we are given the loaf without being taught how to bake our own. The point of this training is to bake for ourselves and others, so we need to learn the ingredients. Before teaching Bible students we must make sure we are using God's methods and motivation.
The basic ingredient of everything in the universe, in the world, and in the Bible is interaction. Every day, every year, every event, every story is made up of interactions. The entire plan of redemption is God interacting with us sinners, rather than ignoring us. Realizing the significance of interactions helps us to establish safe common ground with everyone.
These first few presentations take the same path as the Bible. The Old Testament was written by Moses and the prophets applying his teaching. How did God establish Moses? Through repeated, and often miraculous, interactions in real life. The New Testament was written by Jesus and the apostles applying His teaching. How did God establish Jesus? Through repeated, and often miraculous, interactions in real life. We can bring others to a proper understanding of the Bible by showing them the repeated, and often miraculous, interactions in real life.
